METAMORPHOSIS

Black and White photographs taken with Leica M11 Monochrom or Leica Q2 Monochrom in Europe by Karl Adams. Anonymous geometric structures in glass, metal and concrete that blend together, photographed with unusual framing and strong contrasts where light plays a decisive role in the creation of a final photographic work that is completely different from the initial image that the photographer finds in front of him before shooting. “Sometimes it is necessary to carefully study the geometricobject that we find in front of us, be it a building or anyarchitectural structure, because within this same objectnew geometric shapes are hidden that only an attentive eyecan grasp and after a meticulous analysis and a studied re-elaboration of these forms, a process of metamorphosistakes place for a final photographic shot with a high artisticimpact. Everyone in turn can identify the geometric shapethey most desire in the final photograph, since freedom of imagination and freedom of thought are an inalienablecondition of every human being." This is a summary of Karl Adams' photographic thought in Metamorphosis.
